What They Do

Freedom Hoops is a youth basketball and mentorship program that uses sport as a vehicle for character development, discipline, and life skills. The program reaches young people where they are — on the court, in the community, and in the moments that matter — building lasting impact through relationships, consistent coaching, and a commitment to showing up when it counts.

Why It Matters

Young people don't need more programs — they need more presence. Freedom Hoops exists because character is built through relationship, not curriculum. When a coach shows up every week, when a mentor makes the extra call, when someone invests in a kid's potential before the kid even sees it — that's when real change happens. This is personal, hands-on, and deeply committed work.

Our Involvement

Board-level leadership, strategic planning, fundraising, community mobilization, and direct hands-on mentoring. Austin Moss leads from within — not as a donor, but as a builder, strategist, and mentor deeply embedded in the program's day-to-day impact.
